What have I learnt from all this
When I tear you open
To see inside of you
Your opaque
Frenzy of language
And an enveloping effort to reason
Effect to purpose
And a tapestry of illusions, of meanings, of words
What have I learnt from all this
That in suffering at least I have nothing to decide
To wield paint is not fire bound
I forge with stolen gold
And when I vacate signs
My symmetric rival
Lacerates discourse
In this type of tempered madness
Functions are in front of me
But without me
And what have I learnt from all this
That there’s no equality of knowledge
In our furtive contacts
We created meaning
Where the skin was always asked to reply
And what was said was nil
A demand and a response
A demand
No response
Where chance conspired against us
No cause, all effect
